How can I play my MP3
player which is not an iPod through this system?
Connect your MP3 player using an Auxiliary Line-In cord
3.5mm stereo-to-stereo cable (not included) and insert one end into the
headphone jack of your MP3 player and the other end into the AUX IN port on the
side of your GPX system. Select AUX on
the function switch on top of the system.
Note: Use the controls on the MP3
player to change songs or adjust the volume, etc.; the controls on the unit and
remote will only work with an iPod with the only exception being the
shuffle. See page 7 of the instruction
manual or the question below.
My shuffle is an iPod
but won’t work in the iPod function?
Though the shuffle is an iPod, you will need to use the AUX
function as if it were not an iPod.
Select AUX on the function switch on top of the system. Note: Use the
controls on the shuffle to change songs or adjust the volume, etc.; the
controls on the unit and remote will not work with a shuffle.
When I use the AUX
input mode I’m not getting enough volume?
If you are connected to the headphone output of an audio
source, you will need to adjust the volume controls on the audio source for
optimal sound and volume.
I have my iPod docked
but it’s not charging the iPod, why is this?
If your IB209 is powered by batteries it will not charge
your iPod. If your IB209 is powered by
the AC outlet, make sure your iPod is properly docked on the unit and it should
charge your iPod.
Will my 5th
Gen Nano work with this product?
The IB209 is compatible with the 5th Gen Nano;
however a bracket is not available at this time. A 5th Gen Nano can be docked
without a bracket, and still play and charge since primary support for the iPod
is provided by the dial adjustment.
