    What does the AVC control?
AVC stands for Automatic Voice Control. This knob enables an individual to change any song on your iPod or ordinary music CD into a karaoke song.
    • If the knob is turned completely towards the L (low), this function is disabled.
    • If the knob is turned further to the H (high), it will block the vocals of the iPod music track or music CD.
    • It will only block the vocals on these tracks when a user is singing into the microphone.
    • There will be no difference in the playback of these tracks if no one is singing into the microphone.
Why do the karaoke songs I have purchased from iTunes fail to display the lyrics of my music?
The reason your karaoke songs do not display lyrics on your iPod's screen is that you have purchased karaoke music (tracks with the vocals excluded from the song) only, rather than a file that includes a combination of both music and lyrics.
Before purchasing karaoke tracks, make sure you are purchasing karaoke music of the mp4 file extension or tracks that have been guaranteed by the distributor as being able to output lyrics to your screen.
    • There are programs available that have the ability to rip your existing CD+G karaoke CDs into music files with the mp4 file extension.
    • Consult a software professional about the availability of these programs.
Why am I unable to hear my voice through the microphone when I have the MIC VOLUME turned all the way up?
Make sure your karaoke player is in karaoke mode by making sure the word “karaoke” appears on the LCD display. If the word “karaoke” is not displayed on the LCD then your voice will not be heard through your player. Press the AVC SELECT button on the remote or on the model to put the player in karaoke mode. How do I connect my iLive player to my television?
Use the Video Output jack on the back of your iLive player. Connect composite video cable (yellow-tipped cable from the VIDEO OUT port) and a mini to stereo cable (red and white cable from the AUX OUT port) to connect your iPod to your television.

    iPod Photo Models:
    1. Go to Photos and then go to the Slideshow Settings, scroll down and set the TV Out option to ON.
    2. Make sure that the Output Signal is set to NTSC.
    3. Go into your Photo Library and select the photos you wish to view on your TV. This option is right below the TV Out option.
    iPod Video Models:
    1. Proceed the same way as the Photo iPods to view your photographs.
    2. To view videos, go to Videos and scroll down and select Video Settings.
    3. In Video Settings scroll down and set the TV Out option to ON making sure the Output Signal is set to NTSC.
    4. You may want to turn the Widescreen option to OFF if you do not have a widescreen television.
My iPod stopped responding when I try to control it with my remote when its docked in my iLive product.  What should I do?
This may happen when your iPod or your iLive product freezes.  You need to reset your iPod and iLive product individually.
    1. The reset button on your iLive product is located on the back of the model.  Press the button with a paperclip for a second or two to reset it.
    2. To reset iPod models such as Classic, Nano, or Video, press and hold the Menu and Center buttons until the Apple logo appears.
    3. To reset the iPod Touch press and hold the Home (□) and Sleep\Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
I have one of the new iPods (Nano 4th gen., iTouch 2nd gen., or the Classic 120GB).  Are these compatible with this unit and what setting should I use on the rotary knob to dock my iPod?
Yes, the new iPods are compatible with this unit.  We recommended you use the following setting on the rotary knob for your iPod: Nano 4th gen. – iTouch Rotary Setting, iTouch 2nd gen – 30GB Rotary Setting, and Classic 120GB – 30GB Rotary Setting.
