When I plugged in my ICP689B the time was automatically set incorrectly. Why is that?
Make sure that the unit is set to the correct time zone according to your time zone. To set the time zone make sure the unit is powered off, while holding the Time Zone button press the Hour/Minute button to select the proper correct time zone. Reference page 6 of the instructional manual for a time zone map to determine the correct time zone. Also, check to see if the Daylight Savings Time feature is activated. If activated the DST indicator on the display will be on. This feature effects the time setting by an hour. To activate/deactivate the Daylight Savings Time feature, with the unit powered off hold the CLK ADJ button and press MEM/DST button to adjust the setting according to the Summer/Winter Solstice.
How can I manually set the time on the ICP689B?
With the unit powered off hold the CLK ADJ button, press the Tune- button to adjust the hour setting and Tune+ button to adjust the minute setting. Release the CLK ADJ button to set the time.
How do I set the alarms on the ICP689B?
With the unit powered off, hold the AL1 or AL2 button and press the Tune- button to adjust the hours setting and Tune+ button to adjust the minute setting. After setting the time continue to hold the AL1 or AL2 button and press the Source button to select the desired alarm alert between buzzer, tuner (radio) and iPod. Release the CLK ADJ button to set the alarm.
How do I receive better reception from my AM/FM tuner?
The black wire included with your iLive product is your FM antenna. While in the radio mode, adjust the position of your antenna to provide optimal reception. This may take some trial and error by moving it back and forth to see which position gives you better reception. The AM antenna for this unit is internal, to get better reception for the AM signal adjust the position of the ICP689B.
My iPod stopped responding when I try to control it with my remote when it’s docked in my iLive product. What should I do?
This may happen when your iPod freezes. You will need to reset your iPod as well as reset your iLive unit.
- To reset the iLive unit insert a paperclip in the "reset" point on the bottom of the unit.
- To reset iPod models such as Classic, Nano, or Video, press and hold the Menu and Center buttons until the Apple logo appears.
- To reset the iPod Touch press and hold the Home (□) and Sleep\Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
