CLOCK button. Use the IPOD SKIP DN button on the center of your remote to adjust

Why does my iPod shuffle not play when I plug it into the iPod shuffle port?
Check to see that your iPod shuffle is plugged into the port labeled IPOD SHUFFLE. This port provides a way to both charge your iPod shuffle as well as play music without using an extra cable. Press the FUNCTION (FUNC on your remote) button until you're in AUX2 (Auxiliary mode 2). If the music playing from your iPod shuffle doesn't sound audible immediately, adjust the volume controls until an appropriate volume level is reached. Note that you cannot use your remote to control the PLAY/PAUSE and SKIP/SEARCH functions of your iPod shuffle. Top
Why can I not control my mp3 player using my remote?
If the mp3 player you are using is not an iPod, your remote will not be able
to control your mp3 player. The auxiliary ports (AUXILIARY INPUT 1 and AUXILIARY
INPUT 2) are only meant to distribute sound to two speakers as if they were transferring
an audio signal to your headphones. If you are using an iPod shuffle, you will
not be able to control the playback using your remote because the shuffle model
does not have the same interface that other iPods have. You are able to charge
your iPod shuffle by inserting it into the port marked IPOD SHUFFLE on the back
of your iLive player. If you are using a first generation iPod shuffle, press
the AUX button on your remote until your display reads, "AUX2." If you are using
a second generation iPod shuffle, your player does not have the same USB interface
that the first generation does. You are able to charge your iPod shuffle using
your USB cable. The nature of the second generation iPod shuffle limits the user
to either use the headphone jack for listening to your iPod or charging your
iPod. Your iLive system assumes that same limitation. However, you can listen
to your music files by connecting a stereo cable between the headphone jack on
the 2nd generation iPod shuffle to the auxiliary input of your iLive player. Top
How do I connect my iLive player to my television?
There is a video output on the back of your iLive player. However, only on the iPod video model and the iPod photo model will you be able to use a composite cable (red, white, and yellow cable) to connect your iLive system to your television. On the Photo iPods, go to Photos. Then, go to the Slideshow Settings. From there, scroll down and set the TV Out option to ON. Make sure that the Output Signal is set to NTSC as well. Go into your Photo Library and select the photos you wish to see on your television screen. This option is right below the TV Out option. On the Video iPods, proceed the same way as the Photo iPods to view your photographs. To view videos, go to Videos. Scroll down to and select Video Settings. From there, scroll down and set the TV Out option to ON. Make sure that the Output Signal is set to NTSC as well. You may want to turn the Widescreen option to Off if you do not have a widescreen television. Top
Why can I not connect my iPod to my iLive player?
Check to see that the iPod input dock is centered before you attempt to dock
your iPod into your iLive system. This can be done by sliding the interface between
your iPod and your iLive system. This gives you a choice between connecting an
iPod or an iPod nano. The nature of an iPod nano is that it has a 30-pin interface
on its bottom which is off-center. Having an adjustable input provides a way
to center both your iPod and your iPod nano despite the nature of the iPod nano
to have its interface be off-center. It is recommended that you insert the plastic
footing underneath your iPod so that you can make adjustments to your playback,
while keeping the player secure. Make sure to slide the plastic footing firmly
in place. The choice of which insert you should insert your plastic backing into
depends upon the type of iPod you have. Please refer to your instuction manual
provided in the original packaging. To access your instruction manual online,
refer to CUSTOMER SERVICE -> DOWNLOADS and select the correct model number. Top
How do I receive better reception from my AM/FM tuner?
The white wire on the back of your system is your FM antenna. Make sure your FM antenna is firmly in place. The black antenna with a square shape is your AM antenna. Clip both parts of the antenna wire into the AM ANTENNA INPUT on the back of your iLive system. While in the Tuner mode, adjust the position of your antenna until you have reached optimal reception. This may take some trial and error by moving it back and forth to see which position gives you a clearer sound to your radio. Top
How do I use the IPOD PLAY/SYNC function?
The purpose of this function is to provide a way to edit the file content of your iPod without removing it from the dock of your iLive player. To use this function, connect a USB cable from your computer to the port marked with a USB symbol underneath the IPOD PLAY/SYNC switch on the back of your iLive system. To edit the files on your iPod, switch to the SYNC mode. Do not disconnect in the middle of transferring files as this may damage any files you add. After you are finished editing the files to be played on your iPod, make sure you have properly removed the device from your computer. Also, remember to switch back to the PLAY mode so that playback may continue. Top
Why is there no difference in sound when I adjust the BASS and TREBLE levels on my remote?
Using the BASS and TREBLE functions on the remote requires that the equalizer setting be in FLAT mode. This can be changed by pressing the EQ button on the top of your player or the EQ button on the upper right half of your remote. Press this button until FLAT appears on your display. Top
I have one of
the new iPods (Nano 4th gen. or iTouch 2nd gen.). Are these compatible with this unit?
The new iPods are compatible and
will play on this unit but some of the units can’t charge the iPod.
This is due to recent changes by Apple on new
iPods after our unit was released.
The
battery life on the new iPods is greatly improved requiring less frequent
charging.
We have made changes and
updated our units to be able to charge the new iPods; however, some of the
older models still in circulation won’t have this charging ability.
Look for the model number on the back of the
unit and note the suffix number.
Any model
with a suffix number of “E1” or higher has been updated and will charge the new
iPods.
For models with no suffix number,
these will only play the iPod but won’t charge it.
With these older version iLive units you will
need to charge your iPod via the computer using the provided USB cord.
Alternatively, you can purchase an AC adaptor
we offer at special savings that will charge your iPod.
Call us at 314-621-2881 and press option 2
for the Parts Dept to order the optional AC adaptor.
